Hitachi TRK-3D80E

Description

A big, late 80s, boombox with a good amount of Boom! We love the look of the Hitachi 3D80E, with 4 speakers and LED level indicators either side.

The 3D80E was part of a range of quite sought after “3D” boomboxes from Hitachi from this era. The tempting red button on top activates the big bass speakers and expands the stereo field to give a richer, deeper acoustic.

The power cable is permanently attached and folds nicely into it’s own compartment inside the battery cover when not in use.

It has a really nice sound, with the twin forward facing bass speakers and is rated at 27 watts, so it easily fills the room. It definitely has the-look too, doesn’t it.

This one is Bluetooth modified making use the Line-In, rather than the Switch Method. Select “Line-In” on the function control on top and it will connect to the Bluetooth. As simple to use as a set of headphones.

A really nice Boombox and in great overall condition. Some minor scuffs here and there and a previous internal repair to the hinge of the lid of cassette deck 2.
